Marshall’s Hometown Holly Days to be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025

The holiday spirit takes over downtown Marshall on Saturday, December 6, 2025, for Hometown Holly Days, a full day of festive fun for the entire family! Events run from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. around the Courthouse Square and throughout downtown Marshall, Illinois.

✨ Schedule of Events

  • Breakfast with Santa
    9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church.
    Enjoy a hearty breakfast and visit with Santa before his busy night!
  • Holiday Vendor Market at Historic Harlan Hall
    Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    Sunday: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
    Shop from over 50 holiday market vendors offering handmade crafts, gifts, and seasonal treats.
  • Meet the Winter Princess
    10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Harlan Hall.
    Stop by for a photo op with the Winter Princess!
  • The Polar Express Train Rides
    10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in front of the Marshall Public Library.
    All aboard for a magical ride sure to delight children and adults alike.
  • Bounce Houses on the Courthouse Lawn
    Open all day for family fun and plenty of smiles.
  • FREE Skating Rink
    Across from Historic Harlan Hall.
    Friday: 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
    Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
    Sunday: 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    Lace up and enjoy the ice (no admission fee!).
  • The Bethlehem Experience
    12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on 6th Street.
    A live Nativity presented by local churches — step back in time and experience the story of Christmas.
  • Characters on the Square
    Meet your favorite characters including Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and more as they stroll downtown throughout the day!

🌟 Evening Highlights

  • Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony5:30 p.m. at the Courthouse bandstand.
    Gather with the community as the tree lights up downtown Marshall.
  • Parade of Lights6:00 p.m. along Archer Avenue.
    A dazzling display of illuminated floats, music, and cheer.
  • Clark County Fairgrounds Festival of Lights
    After the parade, head to the fairgrounds to continue the celebration.
    The first 200 families will receive a complimentary Christmas keepsake!
