Edgar County jury finds former Martinsville teacher not guilty

According to a report from MyWabashValley.com (WTWO/WAWV) former Martinsville High School teacher Michael Lowery, who was arrested in April of this year (2025), was found not guilty on all counts following a two-day trial in Edgar County.
Court records confirm the jury returned its verdict on August 20, 2025. Lowery, who had remained in custody at the Edgar County Jail for the duration of the pre-trial period, was released on the same day.
