DESCRIPTION::  The Red Skelton Museum will be showing comedy films.  Beginning in January the Red Skelton museum “Skelton  Funny Films” will be showing comedy films monthly. These films will support the mission of the museum by exposing the public to American comedy. Collection consultant\, Mark Kratzner will introduce the films with some trivia. . Showings of the films will be in the Dr. Phil Summers Theater in the Red Skelton Museum of American Comedy\, 20 Red Skelton Blvd at 7:00 PM on the third Tuesday of the month. The museum is adjacent to the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center\, 20 Red Skelton Blvd.\, on the Vincennes University campus.  Admission is free and the public is invited to attend. \nSkelton  Funny Films is sponsored by Hilliard Lyons Wealth Mangement of Princeton. \n Scheduled showings include: \n\n“The Egg and I” (1947) on April 18:  This film inspired the TV show “Green Acres”.  A couple from the city buy a chicken farm. This film also introduced Ma and Pa Kettle. Marjorie Main\, from Indiana\, played Ma and was nominated for an Academy Award.\n“Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” (1989) on May 15:  Bill & Ted need to present a history report to avoid going to military school. They get help from a time machine. Red Skelton had a character the appeared in skits set in the past.\n“The Sunshine Boys” (1975) on June 20:  An ex-vaudeville team get back together for a TV special. They find out that they still can’t get along.
